California first.
Global by design.
California is where we begin. But the challenge is global—and KPAX™ is built to scale to it.
California is where we begin. But the challenge is global.
Across developed and emerging markets, billions of tonnes of residual waste continue to be disposed of in landfill while governments are pursuing higher resource-recovery rates, lower emissions and greater energy security.
KRYONITE POWER is developing a scalable infrastructure platform designed to address that gap.
KPAX™ can be adapted to different waste streams, energy markets, regulatory environments and project scales—creating a pathway from individual facilities to a global resource-recovery network.
From California to a global network.
Where landfill remains the default.
The opportunity is greatest where residual waste volumes are large, landfill capacity is constrained or expensive, electricity has significant value, and governments are seeking alternatives to disposal.
Australia is particularly compelling as a future market: its national policy targets an 80% average resource-recovery rate by 2030, while national data shows only 3% of waste was recovered for energy in 2022–23—mostly landfill gas—and about 82% of disposed headline waste went to landfill.
There is also an important policy tailwind: Australia's government is developing a carbon-crediting method intended to incentivize diversion of mixed solid waste from landfill and new treatment technologies.
